Koalisi Rakyat Pemerhati Jakarta Baru (Katar) supports Thousand Islands to use Bahtera Jaya Port in East Ancol, North Jakarta, as its entrance gate icon for tourism. For information, there are two accesses that are often used by tourists to reach Thousand Islands which are through Kali Adem Port and Marina Ancol Port.

"I agree because it seems more effective and efficient. Besides, tourists can reach Thousand Islands more easily. They just need to choose what boat to ride, whether it is economy class, business, or executive, similar to terminal or station," said Katar Leader, Sugiyanto Emik, Friday (4/12).

In this case, he reminds government to focus on sea transportation revitalization. Because it is also one of the basic needs of Thousand Islands residents

"Revitalization is important, not only for Dishub boats, but also residents' passenger boats. Good sea transport can support tourism sector in Thousand Islands," he added.

According to him, boat routes also need to be managed properly thus boats can pull over to inhabited islands or resort islands to pick up or drop off passengers.
